DO SOMETHING

Yesterday I woke my child

With a kiss and a hug

‘We’re going to Caerdydd’

I reminded him –

That’s where our Government is

and only they can

protect Wales if, they

are strong and brave

Like the Ancestors the

Cymru they gave their

lives for our todays.

What is one Saturday

For my childs yfory?

One day to stand with

my Cymru  my fellows

from All over Wales

Attempting by our presence

our banners our speeches

our singing – our singing…

To encourage our leaders

to stand united

against the greed

of  “The Already Rich”

To stand united

Against the drills, the chemicals

That threaten our land

our people, our health.

The sun shone freely

Solar Power

The bay stretched before us

Tidal Power

The storm clouds came

Bringing wind and rain

Air and Water

Powers.

Sustainable.  Renewable.

Frack Free

Wales.

Fossil Free Wales

Fighting

Climate change.

Land of My Fathers and

My Mothers

Let us be able

to tell our

Children we campaigned

for their tomorrows.

Yfory.

We are the Ancestors

of the future

of this Proud Nation.

Let not Westminster bully

and browbeat

us into submitting to

their laws.  When our

Welsh Government have

power.  Have power

To protect.  To plan.

To change.

I gave my Saturday

to tomorrows children

of all species.  Bats,

Badgers, Deer, Spiders

Oak and Ash and

All the others

Part of this Earth.

We are Custodians

Climate change is Here.

Too fast it moves

and deepens.

What can any of us do?
